OUR STORY

The BBI story began with a love story between two passionate Chemical Engineers, Cary Ye and Zhou Lanping who shared a deep desire to offer women innovative beauty products.

The young and visionary couple rented their own laboratory and proceeded with conducting 101 experiments on nail art designs until they finally succeeded with an innovative one-step gel formula and later with an upgraded Gel Polish formula. In 2009 with these major hits in international nail exhibitions BBI’s OEM/ODM business was established.

BBI’s technical and customer support teams worked closely with each customer, in order to develop customized products and to help each customer grow their business.

With Carry as CEO and Zhou as Head of R&D, BBI positioned itself at the forefront of the nail gel polish industry with products such as” One Step Gel”, “Quick-Dry in 5 Seconds”, “No Wipe Top Coat”. International expansion was a natural step and global demand accelerated BBI’s growth.

In 2010, customers started requesting products beyond BBI’s own core production.

BBI proceeded to satisfy customers’ needs by carefully selecting superior sources of production that would complement their own production excellence while ensuring the same strict quality standards. Today BBI has formed a large sourcing network of over 28 partners covering 52 product categories with over 284 product codes.

In 2017, BBI enriched its innovation process through collaborations with universities and globally recognized laboratories. Today we hold 44 patents, while our products comply with all international standards. In 2019 we started the construction of a 40,000 square meter state-of-the-art production facility and we inaugurated a new plant with a 100,000 Grade Purifier Cleanroom.

In 2019, BBI expanded its beauty cosmetics product range to include make up (eye shadow and lips) and body care. In 2020 committed to its Corporate Social Responsibility, BBI guaranteed the production and sourcing of Vegan and Cruelty Free products....and our story continues…
